The Library Graduate Assistant supports key services in the Montgomery Library, by assisting full-time employees in all library areas. This position will gain hands-on experience in research support, customer service, project management, and digital content creation while assisting students, faculty, and staff.
This position requires availability during evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities:
Assist with circulation and basic reference services at the library service desk and library chat during operating hours.
Provide one-on-one support to students and faculty in locating library materials and using databases.
Contribute to library outreach, including creating flyers, social media posts, and event support.
Assist in a digitization project aimed at capturing the voice of the university through the creation of a comprehensive picture archive. This includes scanning, metadata creation, and organizing digital assets for public access.
Collaborate with staff on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a graduate program at Campbellsville University.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn new systems and have an eye for attention to detail.
Comfort working both independently and collaboratively.
Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn library tools and technologies.
Nights and weekends are required
