This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of InfoComm Technology.The school is looking for full-time lecturer to teach modules in the domain area of:
• Software engineering
• DevSecOps
• Full Stack Development
• Programming Modules
The candidate will be assigned to the Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation Center to develop into Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (TIE), teach Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) classes in the area that he / she is a subject matter expert in. Training will be provided for domain areas that candidates are unfamiliar with.
The candidate will be involved in full-time and part-time course offerings.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work on industry or consultancy projects
Take on the role of Software Business Development
Identify and establish new collaboration opportunities with industry partners for curriculum collaboration, CET program initiatives, and consultancy projects
Keep abreast of current trends and developments in technologies and emerging trends
Handle administrative work relating to teaching.
Supervise and mentor students in competitions and consultancy projects
Support student learning through consultation and mentorship
Develop teaching and assessment materials, conduct lessons and facilitate learning for both the PET and CET learners
Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum. This includes regular review of existing curriculum and making recommendations on areas of improvement that would enhance students’ learning, performance, and employability.

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, terraform and full stack development.
Committed to stay updated with industry advancements and integrating new technologies into teaching.
Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners.
Ability to design engaging curriculum, developing materials and delivering classes.
Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team.
Possess wit, innovation, initiative and strong communication skills.
Relevant professional certifications will have added advantages, e.g. Professional Scrum Master, Project Management Professional, Kubernetes Application Developer, AWS Solutions Architect and Cloud Native Associate.
