[What the role is]

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Power Engineering in the School of Engineering.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Involvement in developing curriculum, facilitating student learning, conducting hands-on workshop training, and assessing learners for modules related to Electrical Engineering, specifically on electrical power systems and sustainable energy technologies.

  • Spearhead and identify new opportunities and collaboration with industry.

  • Work on industry or consultancy project to stay relevant in your profession.

  • Support student development in the area of education.

[What we are looking for]

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in the areas of electrical power systems and sustainable energy technologies or related. (applicant does not need to be a LEW or PE)

  • Passionate about education and possess strong interest in nurturing, teaching, mentoring and interacting with students.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team.
