Lean Facilitator

Delivers training programs and materials that support standard operating procedures within the workplace to all new and existing employees. Works with supervisors and employees to deliver basic new hire training, re-training, cross-training and basic systems training. Monitors compliance to ensure all necessary training is carried out. May specialize in a particular area of training such as manufacturing. Typically has zero to two years experience and works under close supervision.

• Responsible for training/cross-training new and existing employees

• Responsible for updating and standardizing work and work instructions where appropriate

• Completion of required training documentation for both new and existing employees

• Identify, promote, and lead 5S/6S and continuous improvement activities

• Aid with various administrative tasks

• Assist with quality processes as needed

• Assist in root cause identification and corrective actions as needed

• Operate and possess general knowledge of all job-related machinery

• Promote safety in all areas of the plant, effectively keeps clean work area

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and abilities:
    Experience with or willing to learn and deploy Lean tools within the manufacturing and/or quality environment
    Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams
    Ability to operate machinery/equipment, read and understand micrometers, gauges and blueprints
    Follow work instructions
    Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively 
    Good leadership qualities
    Have a “whatever it takes” attitude with the ability to adapt to a challenging and changing work environment
    Willing to take on additional responsibilities and training (offsite travel as    needed) 
    Good computer skills & excellent attendance
    Ability to administer problem solving techniques and make sound decisions
