Lead: Power Platform and Governance

As Lead: Power Platform and Governance, you help shape how the Power Platform is governed and enabled across Vanderlande. 

The platform is growing quickly and is increasingly used for enterprise applications, automation, and self-service enablement. That growth brings challenges around governance, ownership, and consistency. In this role, you help move from a more ad-hoc way of working to a structured and scalable approach that supports both control and adoption. 

You act as the bridge between Platform Operations, Application Development, and Digital Acceleration, ensuring governance supports platform stability, delivery speed, and enablement. This is not a pure development role, but a role that requires enough technical understanding to guide teams and make good governance decisions.  

Your responsibilities 

In this role, you bring structure to governance while helping teams and stakeholders work effectively together. 

• Design and improve governance for the Power Platform 

• Define and maintain guardrails, standards, and policies 

• Support self-service adoption while ensuring security and compliance 

• Lead governance boards and drive decision-making across teams 

• Act as key contact for Digital Acceleration, Security, and M365 

• Translate decisions into clear guidance for teams 

• Coach teams on governance practices and their purpose 

• Align governance with environment strategy, ALM, and DevOps 

• Govern the IT Automation Framework at platform level, not delivery 

Your role

Your work combines hands-on understanding, improvement, and enablement. 

• Understand operational pain points and governance bottlenecks 

• Translate issues into scalable improvements and automation 

• Facilitate governance sessions and stakeholder alignment 

• Define and document governance processes and ways of working 

• Help teams work autonomously within guardrails 

• Monitor platform changes and translate them into governance improvements 

Your profile 

You combine platform understanding with strong stakeholder and coaching skills. 

• Strong Power Platform understanding with a good technical foundation 

• Experience in governance, platform management, or scalable systems design 

• Comfortable working across technical and organizational domains 

• Strong communicator and natural connector 

• Able to lead discussions and guide decisions 

• Coaching mindset and focus on enablement 

• Not a pure developer role, but technical affinity is definitely a plus
