Job Description:

General Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician Lead reports to Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and provides expertise and education of departmental policies and procedures. Provides training, education, and direction to technician staff and serves as a supervisor extender. Maintains consistent communication across all CHC pharmacy locations. Provides support to the leadership team for reporting and quality initiatives. Works as a pharmacy technician in addition to the lead duties stated above.

 

 

Desired/Required Qualifications:

Education:       Michigan Licensed Pharmacy Technician. Associates of Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Experience:     Retail pharmacy or Infusion pharmacy.Oncology and management experience preferred.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Pharmacy Technician Lead will have primary work duties either to infusion or retail pharmacy. Based on division of activities, duties will be identified as applicable or not and follow the pharmacy technician job description
  • Create training modules and competencies based on CHC policies and procedures for technician staff.
  • Complete and monitor required reports on specific frequencies.
  • Monitors staff while working and provides redirection in procedures as needed and ensures excellent customer service.
  • Helps ensure correct inventory control.
  • All other duties as assigned.
