Lead Java Consultant

Salary range: 155 - 205 PLN/H

What will you do?

Join a strategic transformation initiative focused on building and enhancing an in-house collateral management platform. As a Senior Java Developer, you will design, develop, and integrate enterprise-grade solutions, working closely with architects, technical leads, QA engineers, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient applications while leveraging modern engineering practices and AI-enabled software development approaches.

Your tasks

• Design and develop Java-based microservices and backend components
• Build and integrate enterprise applications across multiple workstreams
• Collaborate with architects and technical leads on solution design decisions
• Implement robust testing strategies including unit and integration testing
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and quality controls
• Design and consume REST APIs and event-driven integrations
• Ensure application security, performance, resilience, and operational stability
• Contribute to cloud-based solution development on Google Cloud Platform
• Support delivery of AI-enabled engineering capabilities and software development practices
• Participate in troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

• Around 8 years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot microservices
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
• Knowledge of schema design, performance tuning, and transactional processing
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, and API testing
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
• Knowledge of code quality and security tooling including Sonar, SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning
• Understanding of REST APIs, integration patterns, messaging, and event-driven architectures
• Experience contributing to technical design and architecture discussions
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of GenAI concepts, LLMs, RAG, and agent-based architectures
• Understanding of AI governance, controls, and responsible engineering practices
• Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 8 days a month

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated financial services environments
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies including containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with service mesh and observability tools
• Knowledge of performance engineering and resilience testing
• Experience implementing AI-enabled SDLC practices
• Hands-on experience building or integrating GenAI solutions
• Experience with prompt management, evaluation frameworks, or RAG pipelines
