Job description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories provides complete power system protection, control, monitoring, automation, security and integration for utilities and industries worldwide. We are looking for an Lead Event Producer to help bring SEL’s mission to life across IMEA (India, Middle East, Africa) through high‑quality, culturally adapted conferences, tradeshows, and customer education events.

As an Event Producer based in Bahrain, you will manage planning and execution for regional industry events that strengthen SEL’s brand presence, support customer relationships, and generate qualified leads. You will collaborate closely with Sales & Customer Service, Finance, HR, Engineering Services, and Global Marketing to streamline processes, ensure brand consistency, and deliver intuitive, reliable experiences across diverse markets.

This role is ideal for detail‑oriented planners who thrive in international environments, excel at cross‑functional coordination, and appreciate the nuance of delivering events across multiple countries, cultures, and languages.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and prioritize the annual event calendar for IMEA, including JIT opportunity evaluation.

  • Manage budgets, contracts, and vendors, ensuring compliance with regional logistics, VAT, and regulations.

  • Produce event collateral (Cvent pages, emails, signage, booth design, social assets) in partnership with Global Marketing Campaign teams.

  • Capture and maintain accurate leads using iCapture (or regional equivalents) and ensure strong Salesforce data maintenance.

  • Deliver post‑event reporting with KPIs, insights, and recommendations.

  • Develop relationships with organizers to secure speaking slots and partnership opportunities.

  • Adopt and share best practices across global teams and contribute to BKMs and templates.

  • Support regional Customer Education events as needed.

  • Operate with SEL Values and take on additional responsibilities as required.

What You Need to Be Successful

Required Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of event production experience (B2B tech or industrial preferred).

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in remote or distributed teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Arabic

  • Hands‑on experience with Cvent, Salesforce, project tools such as Asana, Confluence, Skilljar, etc.

  • Budget management, contract review, and vendor negotiation experience.

  • Familiarity with government approvals, bank guarantees, sponsorship rules, visa processes, VAT, logistics, and local customs in IMEA region.

  • Willingness to travel internationally and availability to work in other time zones as needed.

  • Ability to pass background check and drug test.

  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional partners (Sales, Finance, HR, Engineering Services).

  • Proven success securing speaking opportunities and event partnerships.

  • Proficiency in post‑event analytics, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
