Lead Engineer Innovation Apparel

YOUR MISSION

PUMA is looking for a passionate, creative, and highly experienced individual to join the PUMA Apparel Innovation team at the headquarter in Herzogenaurach.

As the Lead engineer level in Apparel Innovation, you will drive the creation of the functionality side of our high performance pieces across sports. You will support the Design, Sport Science,

and Development teams with proven concepts. You will play a key role in turning insides into products solution that enhance athlete needs.

• Initiate, drive and land Apparel Innovation projects focusing on Teamsports, Running and Basketball
• Connect the dots between the athletes need and the product function
• Regularly travel to factories/partners in Europe/Asia to build the best apparel solutions
• Leverage Studio 48 and Herzo sample room to develop concept prototypes that are aligned with our road map
• Be the team player that understands Athletes, Sport Science, Design and Manufacturing to consider all aspects of a product solution
• Push boundaries and aim for product perfection - love for the details
• Build comprehensive and simple argumentation of the principle you will follow to take the broader team on the journey
• Collaborate with Business partner, Sourcing team and SPOMA.

YOUR TALENT

• BS or MS in textile/apparel engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of fabric an garment construction
• Ability to use all key apparel machinery
• Technical skills with pattern making and related software
• Experience in the sportswear industry is a plus
• Excellent organization and time management skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for sports and performance apparel!
• This position is located in Herzogenaurch, Germany. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
