The Lead Agent - Ocean Pricing is responsible for developing competitive ocean freight pricing solutions that support business growth, profitability, and customer retention. This role serves as a subject matter expert for ocean pricing, working closely with carriers, Sales, Product, and Operations teams to deliver timely and effective pricing solutions while supporting district pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain competitive ocean freight pricing solutions.
• Prepare and review customer quotations, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with ocean carriers and service providers.
• Monitor market trends, carrier strategies, and rate fluctuations.
• Analyze market conditions and pricing performance to identify opportunities.
• Support RFQs, tenders, and strategic pricing opportunities.
• Partner with Sales and Product teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
• Maintain pricing databases, quote logs, and reporting tools.
• Provide guidance and support to pricing team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and pricing standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the pricing function.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, ocean pricing, or a related logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight markets, carrier networks, routing options, and pricing methodologies.
• Experience building relationships with carriers, co-loaders, and service providers.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of profitability and pricing strategy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience with RFQs, tenders, and strategic pricing opportunities is an advantage.
