Pay $23.50 up to $30.15 with no medical insurance

Effective: July 1st, 2026, up to $33.15

Description of Duties:

Perform heavy duty, non-routine and project cleaning, using various types of equipment, materials and techniques. Responsible for sweeping & cleaning work areas, floors, walls, and kitchen equipment. Have the ability to safely and effectively operate heavy duty equipment. Must maintain sanitation standards and physical appearance in accordance with Company Policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations. Substitutes in Cafeteria position as needed.

Job Skills or Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain all government required licenses/ certification (Food Handler Card)

• Must have good organizational skills and adaptable to frequent changes

• Must have good attendance record

• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

• Must be able to work flexible hours

• Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs or push up to 70 lbs

• Must be able to work around moving parts & wet floors

• Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment

• Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day

• Must be able to work a hot and cold environment

• Must be able to walk/stoop/ bend/ stand for entire work shift Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends and holidays

• Able to work with minimum supervision

• Must be able to work as part of a team

• Willing to learn and undertake training (incl. understand correct use of Johnson Diversey Cleaning Chemicals and OSHA requirements)

• Knowledge of safety rules and OSHA regulations

• Ensure all rubbish bins are emptied and disposed of or recycled correctly, sanitize rubbish bins and follow the USDA “Regulated Garbage Program” for international rubbish

• Carry out general kitchen cleaning duties, egg fryers, ovens, stoves, grills, kettles, steamer, rice cookers, blast chiller units and other gas and/ or electrical equipment, exhaust hoods & filters, coolers & cooler units, light fixtures, air vents, work tables, can openers, meat slicers, food processors, blenders, kitchen utensils, handwash & utility sinks, floor drains and trench drains.

• Sweep and mop floors with a traditional mop and the floor scrubber machine

• Maintain perimeter of building by sweeping water hosing and pressure washing

• Ability to operate and clean industrial dish machine and 3-compartment sink

• Ability to dismantle and reassemble all kitchen equipment for cleaning

Additional eligibility requirements and details:

• This is a Union position-must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days
• Must be available to work a full-time position, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently. Bend/stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8-12 hours a day
