Role

Under the direct supervision of the Laundry Supervisor, The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing high-quality laundering services to support the operations of a luxury hotel. This role ensures all guest garments, colleague uniforms, and hotel linens are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards of cleanliness and care. The Laundry Attendant plays a vital part in creating a refined guest experience through attention to detail and consistent service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing according to hotel standards.
• Operate commercial laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect all laundry items for stains or damage and treat them accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and returning guest laundry and dry-cleaning items.
• Use appropriate detergents and chemicals in line with fabric care instructions and hotel guidelines.
• Track linen usage and report any shortages or damaged items to the supervisor.
• Assist in inventory control of laundry supplies and chemicals.
• Support eco-friendly practices by minimizing waste and energy usage.
• Comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with fabric care, stain removal, and laundry equipment.
• Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand, lift, and move heavy loads for extended periods.
