Responsibilities:
- Develop a new EML design with semiconductor material physics, optical science, and high-speed design technology
- Responsible for the stable volume production and the improvement of productivity from the early stage of development
- Develop a new assembly technology of chips with high frequency simulation.
- Evaluate chips adopting a new assembly technique, analyze evaluation data and prepare technical reports.
- Attend a meeting to explain and discuss the results.
Expected Background:
- BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field.
- Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experience.
Expected Skill:
- Knowledge of compound semiconductor such as InP material system and material physics.
- Experience of semiconductor laser design and development with at least 1-2 years’ experience are preferable.
- Experience of product design for yield improvement and cost reduction of semiconductor laser diode are preferable.
- High frequency simulation skill and knowledge of semiconductor device reliability
- Experience in analyzing large volumes of experimental data using JMP or similar statistical analysis tools.
- Fluent Japanese speaker and intermediate English skill
- Basic PC skills, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Programming skills, such as Excel VBA/macros and Python, are preferred.
