We are currently seeking a Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Meadowbranch Landfill. If you enjoy operating heavy machinery, working outdoors, and being part of a safety-first team, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll play a vital role in the daily operation of our landfill by operating and maintaining equipment that supports safe, efficient waste disposal and site management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment including:
    • Bulldozers
    • Compactors
    • Wheel Loaders
    • Motor Graders
    • Scrapers
  • Spread, compact, and cover waste in accordance with site procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Maintain safe working conditions by following all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, truck drivers, and customers.
  • Assist with additional landfill operations as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience.
  • Experience operating dozers, compactors, loaders, graders, or similar equipment preferred.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn.
  • Previous landfill, construction, mining, quarry, excavation, or earthmoving experience is a plus.

Pay & Benefits

$22–$25 per hour (based on experience)
