Job Description:

Land Surveyor

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Land Surveyor to join our team on a major infrastructure assignment in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will perform field surveying activities to support accurate setting-out, verification, and as-built deliverables in line with project drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Review drawings and documents related to the works.

• Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations; supervise survey-related activities on site.

• Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.

• Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.

• Carry out setting-out, level checks, and verification of service locations to ensure protection of existing utilities.

• Operate and maintain survey equipment including Total Station, GPS and levelling machine and data collectors.

• Prepare sketches to support the fieldwork. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations). 

• Measure work done when required and support progress/quantity verification.

• Observe site safety procedures.

• Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings.

• Follow site HSE procedures and participate in safety requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying (or equivalent).

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, roads and utilities projects.

• Strong hands-on experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors, levelling machine and GPS equipment.

• Good written and spoken communication skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures of the industry preferred.

• Consultancy/construction supervision experience.
