Job description



 

Our St. John’s, NL facility is currently seeking labourers to join our team. Helpers/laborers are accountable to provide support on our fleet of hydro-excavation/line flushing vacuum trucks. Successful candidates will receive in-house training and duties would include but not be limited to;

This is an evening shift position with the possibility of day shifts
 

Job Duties
● Ensuring that all equipment and systems are being operated to GFL standards
● Working with high pressure water
● Hydro-excavation of soil/material in exposing water/sewer lines for repairs
● Flushing of sewer mains using high pressure water
● Cleaning of catch basins
● Assisting in the offloading of debris from truck debris tanks
● General maintenance in upkeep of vehicles (greasing/cleaning)
● Adhering to all applicable operating procedures
● Participating in a rotational on-call support schedule as required
● Perform other operational duties as assigned.
 

Requirements
● Ability to work evening shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

● Ability to participate in rotational on-call support schedule as required
● Lift objects/equipment up to 50lbs
● Strong team player with the ability to work independently
● Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
● Legally eligible to work in Canada
