Duties & Responsibilities:

  • • Routine molecular biology tasks such as PCR-based cloning, construct design, site-directed mutagenesis, expression vector engineering etc., 
  • • Expertise in DNA sequence analysis softwares
  • • Cell assay development and testing of antibodies in such assays
  • • Independently presents/defends scientific findings in project team or Department meetings
  • • Actively participates in cross-functional teams/initiatives
  • • Designs and executes non-routine experiments with minimal supervision 
  • • Independently analyzes and interprets experimental results
  • • Independently proposes, follows up and troubleshoots scientific experiments 
  • • Demonstrates technical expertise as well as the ability to train colleagues
  • • Independently writes protocols, SOPs, technical reports

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • • Demonstrated knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques, hands-on experience with state-of-the-art tools like high-throughput construct design, ‘seamless cloning’ etc.,
  • • Demonstrated knowledge of Cell Biology techniques such as reporter cell assays, primary cell assays, assays for cell proliferation and apoptosis.
  • • Preclinical development of antibody biotherapeutics in an industrial setting


Requirements:

  • • BS degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related discipline plus at least 5+ years experience or Masters Degree plus at least 3+ experience (preferably in industry setting)
  • • Hands-on experience in Molecular Biology techniques such as PCR-based cloning, construct design and sequence analysis
  • • Hands-on experience in Cell Biology techniques such as reporter cell assays, primary cell assays, assays for cell proliferation and apoptosis.
  • • Apply knowledge of basic theory and scientific principles
  • • Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information
  • • Ability to troubleshoot and multi-task
  • • Ability to work in team-oriented environment 
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background
  • • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
  • • Must be 18 years of age or older
