Laboratory Technician

Eurofins-ELS specialises in both chemistry and microbiological analysis of potable water, leachates, industrial discharges, rivers and streams, swimming pools and harbours. Clients include City Councils, Regional Councils, Consultants, Food & Pharmaceutical sectors, Dairy, Meat, and members of the public from throughout New Zealand.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, team player to join our close-knit team on a full-time permanent contract Sunday - Thursday.
Based at our busy Christchurch Food and Water testing Laboratory, this is a hands-on role reporting to the Section Team Leader, but which entails a degree of supervisory and mentoring duties of other Laboratory Technicians. The purpose of the role is to carry out the microbiological analysis of a variety of food and water samples.

• Tertiary qualification in microbiology/biology
• At least one year's experience working in a commercial Food or Water testing laboratory

Along with sound technical skills, great time-management, and an absolute commitment to quality, the ideal candidate will have a positive can-do attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
