We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Architect (Cisco) to provide technical leadership and architecture governance for enterprise network environments. The role is responsible for designing and evolving resilient network architectures, defining operational standards, supporting complex escalations, and ensuring network services remain secure, scalable, highly available, and aligned with business and infrastructure requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and govern enterprise L2/L3 network architectures.
  • Define and maintain network standards for BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, high availability, and SDN-integrated environments.
  • Provide architectural guidance for data center, cloud-connected, and hybrid network infrastructures.
  • Lead complex network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and major incident resolution activities.
  • Develop resilient network design patterns and operational frameworks for implementation and support teams.
  • Support and optimize Cisco Nexus switching environments and Perle IOLAN console server infrastructure.
  • Review network performance, scalability, resilience, and capacity requirements.
  • Collaborate with security, cloud, compute, and storage teams to ensure end-to-end infrastructure integration.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, standards, governance processes, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience designing and supporting enterprise and data center network infrastructures.
  • Deep expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and high-availability architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, SDN technologies, and modern network design principles.
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus platforms and data center networking environments.
  • Familiarity with Perle IOLAN console server solutions and operational management practices.
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical escalations and architecture engagements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Cisco CCIE Data Center
  • Cisco Nexus and Data Center specialist certifications
  • Additional Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure certifications are advantageous

Language Requirement:

  • German language proficiency at minimum B2 level is mandatory.
  • The role requires the ability to participate in technical discussions, incident coordination, service reviews, change management activities, and day-to-day communication with German-speaking stakeholders, customer teams, operational contacts, and site personnel.

Citizenship Requirement:

  • Applicants must hold Swiss citizenship.

  • Winterthur area, Switzerland
  • Candidates should be based in, or regularly available within the Winterthur region to support local operational alignment, customer engagement, coordination with onsite and remote-hands teams, and participation in governance, escalation, architecture, and service review meetings as required.
