Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Keppel is a leading global asset manager and operator with strong capabilities in energy & environment, urban development and connectivity, creating solutions for a sustainable future. The intern will be responsible in the following: Perform investment due diligence including, but not limited to, financial and business analysis, financial modelling, transaction structuring, ESG analysis, macroeconomic and industry research on prospective investments Perform various tasks related to portfolio management & monitoring, fund marketing efforts, and assisting in preparation of external investor communication materials and responses to investor requests Prepare internal investment committee memos, market research, monitoring current investments, and new deal origination Work closely with the Legal, Risk & Compliance, Finance and Treasury functions as appropriate for all ancillary activities in support of the lending business, such as KYC, risk analysis, funding arrangements, financial forecasts etc. Learning Outcomes: Gain a deeper understanding of the private credit market Gain a deeper understanding of the entire capital spectrum ranging from senior debt to straight equity and the role of private credit/mezzanine instruments in a company’s capital structure Develop a greater appreciation of the investment due diligence process Sharpen investment analysis and financial modelling skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Completed or pursuing an academic degree in a relevant field of study such as business management, finance or accounting etc. - Good practical knowledge of finance and investment concepts, including equity analysis, credit risk analysis, financial modelling, valuation etc. - Past working experience in related fields such as investment banking, leveraged finance, project finance, structured finance and/or private equity would be a plus - Proficiency in financial modelling would be a plus - Ability to work effectively in a collegial, collaborative, fast-paced and high-growth environment - Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - Good team player with a strong initiative and the ability to perform with minimal supervision and within tight timeframes
