Job description

Animal Care Attendant

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Animal Care Attendant to join our team.

The successful candidate will share our commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients and the highest quality care to our boarded and hospitalized patients. This is an entry-level position focused on animal care, cleaning, and hospital support. Candidates should be comfortable with physical work, maintaining a clean environment, and caring for pets.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning cages and kennels.
  • Feeding and caring for dogs and cats.
  • Walking dogs.
  • Bathing dogs.
  • Performing laundry duties.
  • Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises.
  • Assisting Doctors and Technicians as needed.
  • Ensuring boarding and hospitalized pets are comfortable, clean, and well cared for.

Requirements:

  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Must be comfortable working around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Holiday availability is required, including major holidays, as animal care is needed 365 days a year.
  • Previous animal care, kennel, boarding, or veterinary experience is preferred but not required.
