Junior .Net Developer and IT Operations

CONTRACT POSITION - 11 Weeks with possible extension thru 1 year

Jr .NET Developer & IT Operations Engineer will assist in the maintenance and ongoing operations of a mission-critical web based environment. The candidate must be capable of performing required, recommended and security based patching in a windows 2008 and windows 2012 environment. Candidate should also be capable of assisting and performing tasks during the deployment and operation of COTS and custom developed technologies in a Microsoft Windows Development Platform. Tasks will require working in a cross functional-team of developer, business analysts, senior operational engineers and project managers. Development experience is desired with an emphasis on C#, candidate is also requested to have capabilities in debugging .net applications in all .net frameworks. It is also expected that the candidate have experience with Windows Server Administration tasks and activities.

The developer should have experience with and will be expected to perform day-to-day IT operation tasks with specific software as described below:

a. Windows 2008, 2012
i. Patching, resource monitoring, software deployment, software patching, user management
ii. IIS configuration and management, SSL cert renewal for HTTPS

b. SQL Server 2008, 2012
i. Patching, resource monitoring, query analyzing, indexing, user management
ii. Db backup/restore
iii. Query optimization
iv. Experience with SQL Profiler
v. Data Structure management, DDL

There is a possibility that the engagement will be extended.

2 years - Windows 2012 - Patching, resource monitoring, software deployment, user mgmt; IIS configuration and management, SSL cert renewal for HTTPS

2 years - MS SQL 2012 - Patching, resource monitoring, query analyzing, indexing, user management; DB backup/restore

4 years - Windows 2008 - Patching, resource monitoring, software deployment, user mgmt; IIS configuration and management, SSL cert renewal for HTTPS

4 years - MS SQL 2008 - Patching, resource monitoring, query analyzing, indexing, user management; DB backup/restore; Query optimization; SQL Profiler

4 years - ASP.NET

2 years - C#

4 years - IIS (7,8 Iterations)

4 years - Windows Server Administration

7 years - Overall IT Operational Support
