About the Company

We are an online sports betting affiliate, focusing on football, horse racing, greyhounds, American sports and more. The company operates two websites along with associated social media accounts and mobile apps. The business employs more than 25 permanent staff, plus freelancers and contractors, having expanded rapidly since being founded five years ago. While most staff work remotely, the Development and Design team is based in the Bristol office.

The business is majority owned by a daily national newspaper employing approximately 300 permanent staff.

Development Manager

Job purpose:

Working within our design team, the role will be responsible for creating new designs to be implemented on our websites as well as imagery for social media and print publications.

Accountabilities:

·Designing for company websites and key products

·Creating graphics to be used on our social media accounts

·Assisting with UX and product design

·Aiding other members of the design team

·Working on artwork for printed advertising

·Ensuring work developed by development team matches original designs

Skills and attributes:

Essential

·Adobe Photoshop

·A keen eye for detail

·Good communication skills

·Passionate about design

Desirable

·Sketch

·Adobe InDesign

·Adobe Illustrator

·Adobe Premiere

·Adobe After Effects

·Working knowledge of digital design processes

·Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

·Experience with creating motion graphics

·Qualification in graphic design or related subject

·Experience with video editing

·An interest in sports and betting (particularly football and horse racing)

The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a wide range of digital and printed design work through their portfolio. They should also be able to talk through their work confidently.
