Junior Cyber Security System Engineer (d/f/m)

The Cyber Division of Airbus Defence and Space is a European specialist in cyber security for defence and aerospace assets and systems. More than 450 cyber experts in our offices in France, Germany, the UK and Spain leverage our Airbus DNA by developing products and solutions for customers based on state-of-the-art, trusted technologies. Our mission is to design, develop, integrate and deliver tailored cyber security products and solutions for defence, government and institutional customers and provide operational support throughout the system life cycle.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Contributing to security requirement definitions and developing security concepts based on established system and enterprise architectures . 
  • Support the System Architect on the Cyber security System/Network design 
  • Support the implementation of the Network Design
  • Support the assessment and selection of the adequate Security Product
  • Security Vulnerability Assessment 
  • Security threat and Risk Assessment

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Completed degree in computer science or a completed IT vocational training with state-certified technician qualification (e.g. IT specialist, cybersecurity specialist) paired with 2–3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Good Knowledge of Security Products and Communications protocols
  • Some knowledge of Security Concepts ( Zero Trust, Secure by Default , Multilayer Security …)
  • Some Knowledge of the Cybersecurity Standards and Framework ( ISO27, EBIOS, NIST2…)
  • Good communication and writing Skills in English (German and Spanish are a plus)
  • Ability to work in a team and a strong ability to work in a structured and independent manner
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace or safety related domain is a plus
