Junior Creditors Clerk

Absolute Pets is growing Pet Care Retailer and is looking for a Junior Creditors Clerk to join their finance team. The successful candidate will need to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, supplier reconciliations and attending to and resolving disrepancies and queries.

Key Responsibilities:

Creditors Processing and Reconciliation:

• Accurate and timely (based on payment terms with supplier) processing of supplier invoices.
• Clean supplier reconciliations and timely resolving of discrepancies and queries.
• Reporting account status and variations / discrepancies.
• Pro-actively following up with suppliers regarding month-end invoices and statements to meet retail calendar deadlines.

ThinkTime Tickets:

• Assistance with weekly clearing of tickets to align with reporting timelines, including:
• Reallocation of tender errors in IQ (cash / card)
• Obtain and validate documentation for CC sales where needed for Card sales and Sundries

General Finance Support & Administration:

• Provide ad hoc support to the finance department as required.
• Assist with additional administrative and financial duties related to the creditors function and broader finance operations from time to time.

Qualifications and experience

• 1- 3 years’ experience in a creditors role
• Diploma in Bookkeeping or equivalent
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft suite
• Good Excel skills with the ability to use VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables
