Junior Cad Technician

On behalf of a long term client we are looking for a Junior CAD technican that will be based in the West of Ireland. This company work in Industrial and Commercial Roofing and are Cladding Specialists offering a wide range of roof and facade solutions nationwide. Due to continued growth they are looking to hire a Junior Cad Technician to join their team.

Overview:

As a Junior CAD Technician, you will assist in using CAD software to create technical detail drawings and plans for multiple roofing & cladding projects. You will support the team in transforming initial design concepts from architects and design engineers into detailed 2D technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in producing high-quality, detailed technical drawings based on designs provided by architects and designers. Help modify existing drawings as required.
• Use a range of CAD software programs to create both 2D and 3D models.
• Work with architects, engineers, and designers to understand design requirements and provide technical support.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, including health and safety protocols.
• Assist in assessing the feasibility of manufacturing and construction processes.
• Participate in site visits and surveys to gather necessary data and insights.
• Help present working drawings for all project stages, including tender, manufacture, construction, and installation. Assist in producing comprehensive installation and manufacturing documentation, including technical submittals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all drawings and project documentation..

Qualifications:

• Basic proficiency in CAD software programs
• Fundamental understanding of construction principles and materials
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Preconstruction team
• Awareness of industry standards and health and safety protocols
• Flency in English is a requirement

Requirements

Suitable candidates will receive a starting salary between €25,000 and €35,000.
