- Schedule: 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

- Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
- 4+ years of related experience.
- Texas state plumbers/pipefitters license.
- An OSHA certification.
- Capable of reading blueprints.
- Following standard codes and safety practices.
- Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

What does a typical day look like for the Journeyman Pipefitters?
You will:
- 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of plumbing, steam, gas, and medical facility systems, including water distribution, drainage, sterilizers, laundry and dietetic equipment, steam systems, and medical gases.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and system schematics to plan installations.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend metal and alloy pipes using specialized tools and heavy machinery.
- Secure pipe sections using welding, brazing, soldering, flanging, or threaded mechanical joints.
- Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests with gauges to check for system leaks and integrity.
- Inspect, service, and replace worn or damaged valves, fittings, and pipe networks in industrial plants.
What qualifications do you look for?

If selected, candidates will need to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements consistent with VA medical staff processes.
