Apply to this jobWho We Are
HungerRush is a leading provider of integrated restaurant technology solutions. Menufy by HungerRush is a leading online ordering system for restaurants with transparent pricing, supporting more than 16,000 independently owned restaurants and small chains in more than 3,000 cities across the United States. From independent owners to large multi-unit brands, we provide one of the most complete systems to digitally enable fast-growing brands of any size. Learn more at Menufy.com.
We’re Looking for Someone Different
We're recruiting outside restaurant tech on purpose. If you've built products in e-commerce, growth marketing, CRM, fintech, or consumer apps, that outside perspective is the point, not a gap to overcome. Menufy already understands restaurants. We need someone who can show us what restaurants could be. One thing worth knowing going in: restaurant operators run high-stakes, thin-margin businesses, and they've learned to be skeptical of new technology the hard way. You won't win them over with a pitch. You'll win them over one improvement that actually works at a time.
The Role
You’ll own three product areas that most companies would split across three teams: online ordering, restaurant tools, and consumer insights. We don’t want to optimize each into mediocrity. We consider them one flywheel. Better ordering generates better data, better data powers sharper marketing, sharper marketing brings diners back to order again. The goal is turning guests into fans of the restaurants they order from, and restaurants into fans of Menufy, measured in orders and repeat visits.
Here’s what it looks like in practice. An owner running three locations, no marketing hire, no data analyst, opens Menufy on her phone between the lunch and dinner rush. She sees which of last month’s promotions actually brought lapsed regulars back, picks one, and has tonight’s SMS out the door in under two minutes. That’s the flywheel, end to end, in one sitting.
What You’re Actually Signing Up For
Ordering, marketing, and insights is a bigger mandate than a similarly-titled PM roles at bigger companies. That’s more ground to cover, but it also means your decisions and impact to customer’s everyday lives carry further. Every improvement you ship has a direct line to whether one of the 16,000 independent restaurant owners on this platform have a successful week, and whether their guests keep coming back. That’s the job you’re signing up for.
What You’ll Do
- Own the roadmap across ordering, marketing tools, and insights; make sure progress in one area shows up as progress in the others
- Pick the metrics that predict order growth (order frequency, reorder rate, campaign conversion, diner lifetime value) and use them to make and defend prioritization calls
- Build and evolve the marketing tools restaurants use to bring guests back: email, SMS, automated re-engagement, promotions, loyalty
- Develop and extend the consumer insights layer (some of it already built, some you'll create), turning ordering behavior, campaign performance, and guest data into insights an operator can act on without needing a data analyst to translate them
- Connect the dots across products: use ordering data to sharpen marketing, use marketing results to improve the ordering experience
- Run discovery constantly: interviews, operator feedback, funnel analysis, A/B tests. Operators need to trust what you ship. Diners need to actually like it.
- Write requirements clear enough that engineering can move fast without guessing or redoing work
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years as a PM owning a consumer-facing or growth product, with results you can put a number on: revenue, conversion, cost avoided.
- Experience running multiple fast-moving product surfaces at once and making real calls on all of them, without waiting to become the deepest expert in the room first
- Comfortable with product and marketing analytics (funnel analysis, cohort data, campaign performance, A/B testing) without leaning on a data analyst to interpret it for you
- Writing that holds up: PRDs, executive narratives, and requirements docs that other teams actually use, not just file away
- A track record of de-risking projects before they become delivery problems: staged rollouts, fallback plans, limiting blast radius, not cleaning up after something breaks
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in e-commerce, growth marketing, CRM platforms, fintech, consumer apps, or another high-velocity consumer product. Restaurant experience is explicitly not required. We mean it.
- You've built closed-loop systems where behavioral data drives personalization, segmentation, or re-engagement, and you can point to the business impact of closing that loop
- Exposure to consumer data platforms, analytics dashboards, or insights tools built for non-technical users
- You've operated in a B2B2C or dual-sided model where both the operator's success and the end consumer's experience are first-class concerns, not just one of them
- You benchmark against the best experiences you've seen anywhere, not just in your own industry, and bring those comparisons into the room
How to Apply
Skip the generic cover letter. In the questionnaire, tell us about one time you used ordering, usage, or behavioral data to change a marketing or product decision, and what happened to the number that mattered. A few sentences, no fluff. We read every one of these ourselves before anyone looks at a resume, so it’s worth the ten minutes.
