Java Developer (Microservices - Hybrid)

PLANET S.A., the leading Greek management and project management consulting and Enterprise solution company, is looking for a Java Developer, to join their extensive Digital Services and Solutions Division.

Working within the Planet software development and digital services division will provide candidates with an agile and sheltered cooperation environment for developing their skills as well as being productive in large enterprise projects.

Development teams within Planet work in a highly agile manner and within a mentored scheme for skills’ development of team members.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Java microservice applications
• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Writing well-designed, efficient, and testable code
• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
• Ensuring designs comply with specifications
• Preparing and producing releases of software components
• Delivering high availability and performance

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot
• Good knowledge of microservices
• Experience working with tools like Git, Maven, and Docker
• Experience in developing enterprise-level web applications and RESTful APIs using microservices
• Demonstrate strong design and programming skills using JSON & XML Web Services and JPA
• Strong background working with Linux environment
• Excellent collaboration and written and verbal communication skills
• Bs/Ms. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject

Experience in any of the following will be considered as a plus:

• Experience in Quarkus
• Experience with Kubernetes and helm charts
• Experience with React
• Experience with Jenkins
