Job description

                                                                                                         

CAE is seeking a Ground Instructor to support the Japan Airlines (JAL) Multi-Crew Pilot Licensing (MPL) Program. In this role, you will deliver ground instruction to JAL cadets while ensuring compliance with CAE training standards and applicable aviation authority regulations. The position supports the development of future airline pilots through instruction focused on safety, professionalism, and multi-crew operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-person and remote ground instruction in accordance with CAE training standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate learning activities that support JAL cadets in achieving course objectives and training milestones.
  • Promote professional conduct and a strong safety culture throughout all instructional activities.
  • Monitor cadet progress and identify performance concerns or training delays in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and timely training records, examination documentation, and related administrative requirements.
  • Reinforce Safety Management System (SMS) principles throughout training activities.
  • Maintain classroom readiness and report facility-related concerns as appropriate.
  • Participate in standardization meetings and instructor development activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives related to instructional quality and safety.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification, or Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) and Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI) ratings.
  • Clean aviation record with no aviation accident or regulatory violation convictions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional training environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering instruction to international students, including individuals for whom English is a second language.
  • Multi-crew aviation experience in Part 135, Part 121, military, or similar operational environments.
  • Previous aviation training, instructional, or curriculum delivery experience.
