Job Purpose

The Digital Site Support is responsible for providing reliable day-to-day IT support for the manufacturing site, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems, production-related technologies, and end-user computing. The role supports both office and factory floor users, working closely with local teams/ stakeholders, vendors, and regional IT to minimize downtime and maintain digital service continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

End-User & Site IT Support

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support for onsite users (office and production areas).
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and basic application issues.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Support users with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).

Manufacturing & OT Support

  • Provide basic IT support for manufacturing systems such as MES, shop-floor terminals, barcode scanners, production PCs, and industrial HMIs (as applicable).
  • Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams for production system issues.
  • Ensure IT equipment in production areas meets operational and safety requirements.

Network & Infrastructure Support

  • Support local LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, and basic server infrastructure.
  • Monitor and escalate network or system outages to regional/global IT teams.
  • Assist with site IT projects, upgrades, and rollouts.

IT Security & Compliance

  • Ensure company IT security policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Support endpoint security actions (patching, antivirus updates, access control).
  • Assist in audits related to IT, cybersecurity, ISO, or internal controls.

Vendor & Asset Management

  • Work with local vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain IT asset procurement, inventory and documentation.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes (device setup, access provisioning).

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain user guides, SOPs, and incident records.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose improvement actions.
  • Promote good IT practices among site users.
