IT Officer

A company in the financial sector is looking to hire an IT officer with a minimum of 3 years work experience.

• Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software and generic applications

• Design and development of websites and web applications

• Conducting user-acceptance testing to ensure the applications can be used easily, quickly and accurately

• Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs while maintaining existing skills and knowledge

• Design of database systems to support robust web applications

• Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the applications by users and computer operators

• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications

• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks

• Troubleshooting system and network problems; diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults

• Must possess the ability to work with Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks

• Good understanding of Windows client environment

• Good understanding of mobile app development

• Ability to work on Linux environment

• Ability to configure Cisco devices

candidate’s work experience should clearly demonstrate mastery of the following skills

 Management of windows server infrastructure (Microsoft exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)

 Programming experience in PHP, JQuery, HTML, CSS

 Database administration and designs using MySQL

 Use of application development tools (Dreamweaver, Netbeans, and so on)

 Understand how to configure and manage web servers

 Understand structured architectures (for example; MVC)

 Ablility to write advanced queries in MySQL

 Understand network protocols
