Islamic Religion Teacher AY26-27

Westview International Language School is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Islamic Religion Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027 to join our dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Islamic Studies lessons that promote understanding, respect, and appreciation of Islamic teachings among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and informative Islamic Religion lessons in line with the curriculum standards.
• Encourage students to develop a deep understanding of Islamic principles, history, and culture.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance learning.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Islamic teachings with other areas of the curriculum where appropriate.
• Engage with parents and guardians to support students’ educational and spiritual development.
• Participate in school events and professional development activities related to religious education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Religious Education, or a related field.
• Relevant teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
• Experience teaching Islamic Religion at primary or secondary level is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a respectful and supportive learning environment.
• Commitment to student development and fostering positive relationships with the school community.
