IP Test Scripter (VOIS)

Role Purpose:

•    Develop state of the art methodologies and frameworks for the implementation of test automation for Central  IP Network lab including OS regression and SDN testing
•    For the scope of test automation, introduce open source tools and methodologies through a process of PoC evaluation and adoption
•    Use already defined methodologies to design and develop test automation scripting 
•    Utilize best DevOps practices (CI/CD)  and methods for sw delivery and versioning control 
•    Support and maintain lab virtualized system environments for testing applications
•    Maintain and optimize scripting developments and execute test campaigns
•    Extract and analyse test automation outputs and reporting 
•    Responsible for setting up, maintaining and evolving existing Product Test Robot Automation framework and test cases as part of a team
•    Design dynamic Robot framework keywords with re-usability and flexibility in mind
•    Creation, execution, analysis and maintenance of the smoke and regression test suites on a frequent basis, striving to keep them stable and reliable
•    Develop new automation test methods/tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Drive and organize the automation of manual tests within the team

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

•    Investigate and adopt open source automation tools and techniques
•    Collect  and implement any automation requirements/specifications for IP regression and SDN testing
•    Define and maintain state of the art systems and tools for Test Automation purposes
•    Develop and maintain automation scripting and CI/CD systems
•    Install and maintain virtual environment systems to host containarized applications

Preferred technical / professional qualifications:

•    BSc or MSc in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent degree
•    Good or basic knowledge of IP Networking is an advantage (CCNA certificate)
•    Experience with Robot Framework, Python and/or other programming languages for automation
•    Experience in CI/CD and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins)
•    Experience with Linux (CentOS, RHEL), VMware (ESXi)  systems and Docker 
•    SW development experience in JSON, XML, Xpath
•    Good knowledge of application programming interfaces (REST, RESTCONF, NETCONF) 
•    Experience in performance testing tools (e.g Keysight tester) is a plus
