Job description

The Officer serves as a member of the Risk Management team within the Company, reporting to the Head of Risk Management at PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia, and is also part of the Asia Investment Risk Oversight team under Manulife’s Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM). The role collaborates with both local and regional stakeholders to support independent risk oversight, particularly investment risks arising from funds and mandates managed or manufactured primarily within PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia’s platform.

  • Other relevant duties as assigned based on Company needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 4-8 years’ experience in investment risk, asset management, insurance, banking, or financial services (e.g., asset managers, financial institutions, or fintech firms) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of investment risk frameworks and methodologies in market risk, credit and counterparty risk, liquidity risk and concentration risk.

  • Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills with stakeholders to enhance committee reporting, risk awareness and culture.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Experience with investment risk systems and analytics platform such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, MSCI is an advantage.

  • Experience in portfolio risk monitoring and analysis including risk profile review, stress testing, risk-return assessment and portfolio exposure analysis.

  • Understanding of Indonesia capital markets, products, and liquidity dynamics is an advantage.

  • Exposure to data analytics, automation tools, or AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency in risk monitoring and reporting is beneficial.

  • Progress towards or completion of professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, PRM, or CAIA is highly desirable.
