Investment Operations Specialist – Transaction Management, Private Markets Operations (12-18 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description
 

Our Investment Operations team is working on a significant project with a key client and we’re looking for an Investment Operations Specialist, who is highly motivated, well organized, detail focused and with a strong team spirit. We work in a very dynamic and collaborative environment, and this role will require extensive communication and co-ordination both internally with our Relationship Managers, legal, tax and investment teams and externally with various client counterparties. 

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transfer of over 500 external positions as part of a planned client re-structure for one of our key clients.
• You will work within a project team which is based in Switzerland, liaising with various internal teams and external counterparties, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress, with any risks or concerns being escalated appropriately.
• You will ensure strong, professional communication and co-ordination with all internal and external stakeholders;
• You will take ownership for completing transfer agreements for both the transferor and transferee in accordance with the agreed timeframes
• You will liaise with external General Partners to co-ordinate the transfers, ensuring any issues with timing or process are managed and escalated accordingly.
• You will compile and provide AML / KYC documents on the relevant entities to the General Partners and respond to requests in a timely manner, ensuring successful onboarding with each General Partner ahead  of the transfers
• You will ensure any required sign-offs are obtained prior to positions being transferred.
• You will attend regular project meetings as well as any additional scheduled or ad hoc meetings, providing updates on progress, milestones, risks and issues as required.

Requirements

• You have a batchelor’s degree (or equivalent);
• You have at least 7 years’ experience in a similar role in the financial industry, preferably within asset management and ideally with experience of managing projects;
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken), German skills are highly beneficial;
• You have a high level of initiative and attention to detail, with a clear focus on client service;
• You work well as part of a team, , and also have a strong ability to work independently, taking ownership and responsibility for various tasks;
