Grade: 170
Salary: $22.96/hour
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the investigation of Federal and State statutes, and Jackson County and various municipal ordinances; performs a full range of professional, criminal, and internal investigations, regarding alleged violations of department policy involving staff, inmates, volunteers, etc
- Investigates and documents incidents which may leave the department or Jackson County in a position of potential liability
- Responds to all allegations and/or complaints originating from outside the department regarding enforcement of policy and procedure
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of experience in corrections or law enforcement, with an emphasis on conducting extensive investigations.
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certification preferred
- Must have and maintain valid Missouri or Kansas Driver’s License.
- Certified in Criminal Investigations and Administrative Investigations.
- Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence.
- Must submit to and pass a police background check and drug screen.
