Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Independent processing of one or more development projects 
  • Analysis of existing processes and materials 
  • Planning and execution of laboratory tests in the chemical field 
  • Preparation of new formulations for anti-friction coatings and application of these via spray or dip-spin application on metal or polymer substrates
  • Characterization and evaluation of pretreated/coated surfaces using various methods such as tribology measurements, corrosion tests or surface tension measurements
  • Detailed documentation of results 
  • Close cooperation with production and application engineering
  • Transfer of the new processes to pilot plant scale

Qualifications:

  • Studies in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, materials science or related fields
  • Interest in topics related to surface technology, tribology and wear resistance
  • Good computer skills (MS-Office) 
  • Independent working style and good analytical skills 
  • Commitment, initiative, ability to work in a team, creativity and enjoyment of practical work
  • The internship/thesis should be a mandatory part of your studies and last at least 5 months.
