Internship - Low Voltage Validation Platform with Real Time Connect

The student, as part of the Power & Sensor Systems (PSS) team and under the guidance of an assigned mentor, will undertake a project working on the creation of a 1) Real Time connection between FPGA and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) system using SFP connects to create a new innovative platform for IC validation and also 2) apply module level functional assertions checks in FPGAs. It involves combining in-depth application of know-how from digital, analog front end domains to build the initial setup to productive version for design verification.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Examine how real time connect between FPGAs works
• Benchmark data transfer latency between FPGA and Hardware in Loop (HIL) using SFP connects
• Create working examples on how data can be moved to and from HIL to FPGA for data processing
• Create a new innovative platform for low voltage validation of power controller IC
• Design and Create synthesizable assertions blocks for FPGA verification

Internship learning outcomes:

• Understand Digital Design and simulation
• Understand FPGA and HIL design and implementation
• Proficient in digital tools such NCSIM, Vivado, Python etc.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Background in digital/analog design
• Background in system-verilog or verilog
• Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics
• On track to attain PHD with focus on design verification
