Internship - Application Engineering: Industrial and Consumer Power

The student, as part of the Application Engineering team in Sales & Marketing department and under the guidance of an assigned mentor, will undertake small scale projects and take part in selected customer support activities mainly involving industrial and consumer power related power seminconductor products.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Learn about various power semiconductor devices like IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs and their gate drivers.
• Get hands-on experience in lab dealing with different product evaluation kits, double pulse measurements, device thermal measurements etc.
• Learn to work with commonly used simulation tools like PLECS, SIMetrix.
• Participate in customer technical support activities on selected topics under the supervision of responsible AE.

Internship Learning Outcomes:

• Enrich your knowledge on power semiconductor devices and technologies including the latest wide bandgap devices - SiC, GaN.
• Gain hands-on lab experience and learn basics of commonly used simulation tools in the industry.
• Improve problem solving skills by working on real life customer application problems.
• Experience to work and interact with other cross functional teams in a multicultural environment.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• On track to attain Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical & Electronics engineering or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge about Power Electronics - topologies and device characteristics.
• Keen to work hands-on in the lab.
• Possess a learning attitude.
