A career in our Indirect Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.Our team helps our clients optimise cash flow and reduce risk by managing challenges related to indirect taxes. You’ll support our clients with all aspects of indirect taxation related to global, regional and domestic projects as well as comprehensive restructuring and reporting value added tax projects.

Job Description
Our Indirect Tax practice acts as a business partner in the strategic management of indirect taxes for our clients. We are well positioned to service our clients’ needs and ensure that their business is fully optimised and compliant.
The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Analyst will include the following:
- Assisting in compliance engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws, such as Goods & Services Tax (GST) and Customs.
- Preparing periodical Indirect Tax compliance such as GST returns, APR/QPR for EOU, STPI, assisting clients in obtaining Statutory Forms from relevant tax authorities.
- Assisting in undertaking reconciliation between books of accounts and figures disclosed in the statutory returns.
- Responsible for the execution of the assigned engagements under the supervision of seniors.
- Coordinating with the tax authorities in assisting clients in obtaining approvals, registrations, licenses, etc.
- Assisting in advisory engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws, such as GST and Customs.
Profile Requirements
Working in this discipline will see an Analyst working on engagements and teams (the sizes of which will vary depending on client/project).
To qualify for the same an Analyst will need:
- To be Graduate with 0-1 year of experience in the related field
- Other prerequisite skills include:
- Excellent skills in MS office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Demonstrating a proactive and robust thought process
- Meticulous, committed attitude and an eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Subject Matter Expertise required
- Basic understanding of Indirect Tax laws relating to GST, Customs
- Basic knowledge of Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing is expected
- Knowledge of the current GST developments and impact of the same on the industry
