During the internship, the candidate will define plant process dynamic simulation models (LNG, geothermal, heat pumps, etc.) with the aim of reducing simulation times, using response time acceleration techniques (ex., reduced models) through Machine Learning/AI algorithms, to support the use of Digital Twins for industrial plants.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Explore & test the capabilities of Commercial SWs already in BH availability in Dynamic Simulation Modeling, among the following: ASPEN Hysys, Unisim, etc.

  • Actively Collaborate and participate in Dynamic Simulation development technology in BH, and Control system representation.

  • Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with colleagues, engineers, and supervisors to achieve project goals, and identifying and addressing technical issues or challenges that arise during projects and proposing solutions.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders

  • Learning software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks

  • Assisting engineers or technologists with ongoing projects by conducting research, data analysis, and providing technical support.

  • Participating in the design process, creating drawings or prototypes, and contributing to the development of new products or technologies.

  • Keeping accurate records of experiments, designs, and project-related information, and preparing reports or documentation as needed.

  • Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelors’ or Masters’ level degree in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, other STEM-related or business-related program.

  • Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country, with focus in following matters: Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Process, Computational and/or numerical method, Control Systems

  • Strong interest combined with acquired expertise in: Tools & SW Development & Testing, Computational & numerical methods, System Modeling by Matlab, Simulink; Aspen Hysys, Unisim or similar tools for Plant/Process/System modeling

  • Strong interest combined with acquired expertise in basic programming (ex. Python)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft widely used tools: Excel, Word, Power Point; copilot.

  • Proven ability to generate reports and presentations in a clear, concise, and comprehensive manner to share results in short time to leadership

  • Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills

  • Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly.

The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
