ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Ergonomics Improvement Project through safety innovation initiatives.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to Industrial Hygiene programs.
  • Develop and implement ergonomic improvements to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct assessments and recommend solutions for occupational health and safety challenges.
  • Support departmental activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain and update the chemical register to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Design, develop, and manage databases to support ergonomic and safety improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) principles and practices.
  • Basic understanding of Industrial Hygiene programs.
  • Basic knowledge of Health Risk Assessment (HRA).
  • Understanding of Medical Surveillance programs, chemical safety, and occupational diseases.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Ability to support university research projects related to ergonomics and workplace safety improvement.
  • Available for an internship period of at least three (3) months.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic media production and graphic design skills.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Presentation and training facilitation skills.
  • Familiarity with innovation and continuous improvement methodologies.
