Intern, MTS - QA (Bangalore)

Acme is bringing the highly scalable, economic datacenter infrastructure of the largest Internet companies (such as Amazon’s EC2) to the marketplace. Based on concepts employed in core infrastructure systems at Google, our converged virtualization product can scale to manage petabytes of data while running thousands of virtual machines, By eliminating the need for network and SAN storage, we’re turning the multi-billion dollar virtualization industry upside down.

The Role: QA:

You will be working with some of the hardest and most exciting problems in systems testing and debugging failures..

You will be: 

• Executing and writing manual and automated tests to find bugs. 
• Working closely with development engineers to analyze and find root cause of failures 
• Filing bugs and tracking them to closure

You must:

• Be pursuing a Engineering Degree in Computer Science
• Exceptional sophomores with exceptional coding skills will be considered as well.
• Rock solid programming skills in Java, Python, or Perl
• Have taken at least one course in Data Structures and at least one course in Operating Systems. Strong system administration experience in UNIX, preferably Linux 
• Genuine interest in QA

Ideally you have: 

• Understanding of fundamental file system concepts and protocols such as: disk partitions, networked filesystems, logical volumes, journaled filesystems and block devices. 
• Experience using virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen. VMware is preferred. 

Experience testing a “systems” product (file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking).
