About TP ICAP

TP ICAP Group is the world’s largest interdealer broker, connecting buyers and sellers in global financial, energy, and commodities markets. Our purpose is to improve price discovery, liquidity, and data distribution through responsible and innovative solutions.

Interns join a business that sits at the heart of the financial system. Our Global Broking division includes premium brands such as TP, ICAP, and PVM, each with deep expertise across asset classes and geographies. Whether facilitating trades in government bonds, foreign exchange, or energy futures, our brokers help institutional clients navigate complex markets with speed, precision, and insight.

Founded in London in 1866, TP ICAP operates from more than 60 offices in 27 countries and employs over 5,000 people. We are proud to be the number one Energy & Commodities broker globally, the leading provider of OTC data, and home to an award-winning all-to-all trading platform.

Your Experience

As a Global Broking intern, your summer will be shaped by real exposure to the business. You’ll spend your days embedded on active trading desks, learning directly from brokers and product specialists.

Your day-to-day will include:

·         Shadowing brokers during live trade execution; observing institutional price discovery in interdealer markets.

·         Practicing on student Bloomberg terminals to build fluency with market data and trading tools.

·         Exploring other functions across the firm—from operations and compliance to post-trade services.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, candidates must

·         Be authorized to work in the United States (we do not offer visa sponsorship)

·         Relocate at own cost if applicable; TP ICAP does not provide relocation or housing assistance

Ideal candidates are

·         Curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in financial markets

·         Adaptable and composed under pressure, with a willingness to take initiative

·         Strong communicators who can listen, ask questions, and build relationships

·         Collaborative team players who thrive in fast-paced environments

·         Organized and able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail

·         Comfortable with light technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
