Insurance Verification Specialist Behavioral Health- Remote Contract

• Position: Benefit Verification Specialist Contract - Mental Health/Behavioral Health
• Location: Fully Remote MUST Live in Florida
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Business Hours 8:30 AM - 5:00PM

Essential Responsibilities

• Verify client insurance benefit information.
• Verify specific benefits and document plan details.
• Confirm client financial responsibilities, including deductibles and co-insurance.
• Communicate financial obligations with appropriate parties.
• Identify coverage restrictions and limitations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all regulatory requirements while protecting client privacy.
• Communicate benefit information accurately and timely to team members.
• Manage and upload patient documents, including insurance authorizations.
• Accurately document information in applicable systems.
• Review patient accounts.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide backup support to the Revenue Cycle team as needed.
• Attend assigned team meetings and training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• Associate’s Degree, or High School Diploma with 3–5 years of insurance billing and collections experience.
• 3–5 years of experience serving as a liaison between insurance companies and family members/guarantors.

Experience in Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder Treatment, or behavioral healthcare preferred
