ACTIVITIES
•Act as COMPANY’s focal point and technical authority for all instrumentation, control, metering, and safeguarding systems for the IMA Project.

•Review, comment on, and approve EPC Contractors’ instrumentation engineering deliverables.

•Ensure compliance of all Instrumentation Engineering deliverables to Company's Referential, applicable industry standards such as IEC, API, ISO, and ATEX requirements.

•Review and validate P&IDs, Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, Control Philosophies, Cause and Effect Matrices, Hook-up Diagrams, Cables Schedules, Junction Box Schedules, and Loop Diagrams.

•Ensure consistency between process requirements and instrument design.

•Ensure sufficient and adequate instrumentation (Pressure Monitoring, Temperature Monitoring, Flow Measurement, ESD function, Sand Detection, F&G Detection and remote monitoring and control functionality) is provided for the well head platforms.

•Ensure adequate safeguarding is provided for all equipment on the brownfield equipment.

•Liaise with metering specialists to ensure fiscal and operational metering systems are fit-for-purpose.

•Review and validate PLC, ESD, SCADA, RTU systems, and HMI Configurations.

•Verify implementation of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIF, ESD Logic, Shutdown Sequences, and Cause and Effect Logic) and ensure compliance with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 requirements.

•Review Fire and Gas (F&G) system design and ensure adequate coverage for the wellhead platform and brownfield packages.

•Review instrumentation related to Pipeline Monitoring, Leak Detection, and Pigging Operations.

•Support and review commissioning procedures for instrument calibration, Loop checking, Functional Testing, Cause and Effect Testing, and ESD Functional Testing.

•Participate in HAZID workshops, HAZOP Reviews, SIL Assessments, Alarm Management Reviews, and Constructability Reviews.
•Lead Instrumentation Weekly meetings with EPC Contractors and ensure timely reports to Technical Managerand Project Manager.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
IMA Gas Field Development Project is to develop 1.28 TCF of gas through a 4-slot shallow water conductor-supported well-head platform in 8 – 10m of water to produce 380 MMsfcd at plateau. The production fluid to be transported through an 18”x 15km subsea and 18” x 7km onshore pipeline system to the onshore dehydration system at the NEPL/WAGL – owned Bonny NAG plant that is situated within the Renaissance-operated Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal. Treated gas to be exported to Nigeria LNG.
