Job Description:

Functions as a clinical faculty member of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine reporting directly to the Specialty Service Director in Clinical Pathology with the following responsibilities:

Clinical, Educational, and Academic Duties (100%):

• Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new molecular diagnostic tests.

• Monitor post-implementation clinical performance of new test offerings.

• Serve as liaison and consultant for the laboratory and the clinical services.

• Attend and present at clinical rounds and education sessions related to Clinical Pathology.

• Provide educational lectures to residents and fellows, as requested.

• Perform all duties in compliance with the Departments quality assurance guidelines

• Participate in academic projects sponsored by subspecialty heads

• Provide support for residents on service

Working Environment:

The work is mainly performed in a hospital environment and excellent citizenship and professionalism is expected.
