The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for following the training parameters to become competent in injection molding machines.

Responsibilities:  The Injection Molding Operator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, learning the process to:

  • Load plastic tubes onto molding machine and activate the machine
  • Unload tubes from core pins at the end of the molding cycle
  • Maintain cycle times
  • Visually inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality specifications
  • Pack finished parts for shipment
  • Keep equipment and work area clean

Organization and Relationships

The Injection Molding Operator reports to their assigned Area Manager and/or Shift Lead

Job Requirements

       To qualify for the Injection Molding Operator position, the candidate is required to have:                  

  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Basic math skills
  • Prior Injection molding experience for six months
  • Ability to stand for up to long periods of time
  • Must be able to use pull, push, and stretch out with wrists, fingers, palm, and forearm as well as unload tubes from boxes onto core pins
