STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit an Industrial Engineer (AnyLogic & Layout) within the Industrial Engineering Department.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Model Development: Create, configure, and validate, optimize simulation models using Anylogic.
  • Scenario Analysis: Run experiments, parameter variations, and optimizations to quantify possible scenarios and find process bottlenecks.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Analyze simulation outputs and present actionable, data-driven recommendations to clients and business leaders.
  • Incorporate system requirements in constructing simulation models employing unique capabilities of AnyLogic software by utilizing the most effective simulation method or combination of simulation methods.
  • Distribute and oversee task execution within the Engineering teams.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of systems
  • Collaborate with development teams, tech leads, and business stakeholders on architecture and product evolution.
  • Identify engineering needs and define the problem scope in order to develop effective yet creative solutions.  
  • Foster engineering culture (ownership, reliability, security-first mindset).
  • Participate proactively in meetings with engineering team members. 

 

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall: 

  • Possess a degree or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have knowledge of AnyLogic or other simulation tools.
  • Have knowledge of  AutoCAD. 
  • Be able to develop and interpret layouts and process flows.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Be capable of working independently and within a team.
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Be methodical, proactive, responsible, and goal oriented.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies, or experience in semiconductor manufacturing will be considered an asset.
